Beverly Louise Bubrig Machella

Beverly Louise Bubrig Machella, 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at West Jefferson Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Plaquemines Parish. She was born on September 16, 1932 in Burrwood, Louisiana, where she spent her early years and later graduated from Buras High School. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, John and Myrtle Bubrig; her sister, Vivian Chiappetta and her grandson, Mat Machella. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Mateo C. Machella, Jr.; her brother, Jay Bubrig; her sons, Chuck (Terrance), Dale (Jamie), Mike (Joni); daughter, Darleen (Wayne), along with 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Beverly was a devout Catholic who devoted her life to being a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. To quote, as she often expressed in her own words, “I lived for my children”. As her children, we experienced her dedication and love our entire lives.
Due to current restrictions and inherent health risks, funeral services were held privately at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Belle Chasse. Burial followed in the Church cemetery.
The family is requesting donations, in her memory, to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 8968 LA Hwy 23, Belle Chasse, LA 70037.
