Beverly Ann Abbott LaPeyronnie began her new life, transitioning into eternity in the early morning hours of Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at the age of 83. She leaves behind her husband of 63 years, Adrien LaPeyronnie Jr.; her children: Adrian LaPeyronnie III (Susan), Darren LaPeyronnie (Marla), and Glenn LaPeyronnie (Stacey); grandchildren: Adrian IV, Alexandra, Beverly, Brandy, Grant and Regan; her great-grandchildren: Collin & Cole; and her sister, Gayle Hanrath Campbell. Also surviving her are Marla LaPeyronnie’s son Cory Lantier (Jennifer) and their four children, Jayce, Camrynn, Cullen, and Julianna; as well as her nieces and nephews: Dale McLin, Kristen Hanrath, Dawn Abbott, Gordon Abbott, III, and Warren Abbott, Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Anna Abbott (nee Champagne), and her brothers, Gordon and Warren Abbott. Beverly was a beautiful, loving, and caring mother who nurtured her three boys. Beverly was a graduate of Behrman High School, Class of 1956. She was a lively and energetic LSU Tiger fan, and was present for the 1958 National Championship. She was an avid tennis player and talented seamstress. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Anthony Catholic Church. She was a member of Timberlane CC’s Les Dames de Timberlane, the New Orleans Symphony Guild and the Greater New Orleans Smocking Guild. She was awarded numerous blue ribbons and awards for her embroidery. She also enjoyed needle point, smocking and travel. She especially liked to visit Europe in pursuit of her needle work and for the love of visiting new places. The love Beverly shared with her family and friends was as boundless as the waters flowing from a well never running dry. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren Adrian IV, Alexandra, Beverly, Brandy, Grant and Regan. Services are planned for Wednesday, October 27, 2021 with a Memorial Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana from 10AM until 1:30PM. A Memorial Mass will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1:30PM. Memorial Interment will be in Hook and Ladder Cemetery, Gretna, Louisiana.
