Betty Juneau Thompson

Betty Juneau Thompson passed away peacefully on July 19, 2022, at the age of 91. She was born in Harvey, La on April 22, 1931, to the late Joseph and Mildred Juneau.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Fred J. Thompson; her parents, Joseph Adam Juneau, and Mildred Gendron Juneau; her siblings, Lois Braud Glynn, Joseph Juneau Jr., and Leon Paul Juneau; as well as her great granddaughter Katherine Halstead.
She is survived by her loving children, Cynthia Toups (Late Ronald) and Karen Bourgeois (Elwin); her grandchildren, Bonnie Halstead (Ronald), Christopher Bourgeois (Tara), Craig Bourgeois Sr. (Rachel), Carla Creppel (Rick), and Aaron Toups (Melanie); and her great grandchildren, Christopher Bourgeois Jr., Grant Halstead, Hailey Bourgeois, Bryn Bourgeois, Craig Bourgeois Jr., Cade Toups, Grayson Creppel, and Caroline Creppel; and her sister, Carmen Cortez (Leroy). Betty also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended relatives. She will be missed dearly.
Betty loved to play cards, and bingo was a favorite of hers. She loved to spend her time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at St. Cletus Catholic Church, 3600 Claire Ave Gretna, La on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, from 11am to 1pm. A funeral Mass will follow. Interment will be at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
