Beatrice Louise Rogers (1948 – 2022)
Born June 23, 1948, to Leonard Louis Rogers (Midland, TX) and Beatrice Theresa Galjour Rogers (Cutoff, LA) in Baton Rouge. She was the third of four children: Dana Rogers Garnier, Jacqueline Rogers Bijou (Francesca Ynostroza Huston), Jean Rogers Bearden (Ben Bearden & Johnny Bearden Jr). Beatrice was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She passed away May 15, 2022 peacefully in her sleep. She leaves behind her four grieving children: Gregory Mitchell Jordan (Wife Michelle - Grant, Genevieve & Garrett), Edwin Charles Wimby Jr (Wife Kiwanna – Edwin III, E’njelle, Marcus, Christopher, Enissa, Deja & Elijah), Ellshaa Caprice Rogers Dirmann (Husband Joshua – Conner), and Julie Kaye Rogers Sejour (Michel II & Josiah). While these are the names of her beloved children and grandchildren, there were many that she went by Auntie Bea, Mama Bea, Bea-Bea, Grandma Bea, and BeaLou just to name a few. Mama was known for how much she loved everyone that she came into contact with, a tangible expression of God’s unconditional love on Earth. We should all live by her example. She will be greatly missed by many and remembered for lifetimes.
