Barbara F. Tassin Ziegler-Trudeau

Barbara F. Tassin Ziegler-Trudeau peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 19, 2021 at the age of 78. Wife of the late Robert L. Ziegler and Lifelong companion of Emile Trudeau. Daughter of the late Maure Joseph Tassin, Sr. and Beulah Francis Carlton Tassin. Mother of Michelle Hux (Travis). Grandmother of Brittney Walker (Courtney) and Taylor Hux (Scott). Great Grandmother of Savannah Suer. Sister of the late Maure J. Tassin, Jr. and Sidney “Butch” Tassin. Barbara will be missed by all who knew her especially her beloved dog, Zeus and her 5 ducks. She was born in New Orleans and was a resident of Belle Chasse. She was a Voter Commissioner in Plaquemines Parish. She also worked at the Snowball Stand by the Plaquemines Parish Ferry for 23 years. The family would like to extend a sincere appreciation to the Staff of St. Joseph Hospice and to the 3rd Floor Nurses of Ochsner Baptist Hospital in New Orleans for their love and care given to Barbara. Due to the COVID Pandemic, attendees are limited to 100 persons. Each attendee must wear their face mask for the duration of the Visitation and Funeral Service. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana on Monday, March 29, 2021 from 9AM until 11AM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, Louisiana.
