Barbara Wardrip Johnson

Barbara Wardrip Johnson, 90, of Mi-Wuk Village passed away peacefully on January 11, 2021 at Avalon Care Center in Sonora. Barbara was born on July 22, 1930 to Glenn and Dorothy Wardrip in Rockford, IL. They lived and worked in Poplar Grove, IL. Barbara worked in the Winnebago County Recorders Office in Rockford before reconnecting with Roger at a Poplar Grove High School reunion. At that reunion, Roger finally got up the nerve to ask her out. She retired and married Roger at Poplar Grove United Methodist Church in 2007 and Barbara moved to Roger’s home in Mi-Wuk Village, CA. Barbara and Roger were members of Sierra Bible Church of Sonora, CA. Barbara was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Roger. She is survived by her 4 children, Matt, Mark, Patti and JoEllen, her 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Private funeral services were held in California.
