Anthony John Ricouard (A.J., Tony, Ric) peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 19, 2018 at the age of 83. Anthony was married to his beloved, loving and devoted wife, the late Janet Marie Legnon Ricouard, for 62 years. Son of the late Anna Mary Repak Ricouard and Southern Anthony Ricouard. Also preceded in death by an infant brother, Southern Anthony Ricouard, Jr. Anthony is survived by his 6 children, Melanie R. Hotop (John), Stephen A. Ricouard (Erin), Robert D. Ricouard (AnneMarie), David A. Ricouard (Tammy), James M. Ricouard (Belinda) and Mary R. Flood (Jerry); 13 grandchildren, Jason, Taylor, Logan, Stephen, Stephanie, Angie, David, Nicole, Joseph, Christopher, Erica, Jonah, and Meredith; and 8 great grandchildren, Eli, Mia, Kristen, Maci, Hunter, Maris, Camila, and Reece, and one on the way. Anthony served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1953-1957. He became a licensed barber in 1958 and began his own business, Ricouard's Barber Shop, in 1968. He was a parishioner of St. Cletus Catholic Church since its inception and served as an usher for decades. He was also active in the St. Cletus Fair for many, many years. He was also a recipient of the St. Louis IX Medallion. In his "hey days" he loved going to his fishing camp with his family and teaching his kids and grandkids to fish, crab and trawl, then returning home and hosting boils with what he caught. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 1:30pm.
