Anthony "Mac" Michael Palisi Sr.

Anthony "Mac" Michael Palisi, Sr., passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Geraldine "Gerry" Palisi for 58 years. Father of Monica Palisi, Vincent Martin Palisi (Lisa), Michel Clyde Palisi (Debra), Andrea Palisi Rogers, and the late Anthony Michael Palisi Jr, and twin infant A. Palisi. Grandfather of Thomas Anthony "Best Buddy" Palisi (Brandi), Amanda Rose "Pumpkin" Palisi, Vincent Martin "Padna" Palisi, Jr., Ronnie Lynn "Best Pal" Rogers, Jr., Hayley Lynn "Sweetheart" Rogers, Lexi Michel "Angel" Palisi, Kyli Lynn "Good Girl" Palisi. Son of the late Althea and Michael Palisi. Son-in-law of Mitchel and Lillian Martin. Brother of Michael Palisi, Jr., Richard Palisi (Lydia), and the late Aldea Palisi, Angela Orfanello. Brother-in-law of Mitchel Martin, Jr. (Effie), Clyde Martin (Barbara), Stella Guidry (the late Pee Wee), Veronica "Bonnie" Hebert (the late Lloyd), and the late Charles Martin, and Andrew Martin (Penny). Also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and lifelong best friend, Don Wattigny. He worked for M&W Marine Service and retired from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office after 15 years of service. He was a lector at Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church, a member of Harvey Golden Agers and past King, Ochsner Golden Opportunity, AARP, Infant Jesus Golden Agers, Harvey/Marrero Senior Center, former member of the Fighting 69ers, and the Sixth Ward Jefferson Liberty Club. He was a native of Algiers, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA for the past 53 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church, Harvey, LA on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 11am. Visitation will be held at the church from 9am until 11am. Interment, St. Mary Cemetery, Algiers, LA.
