Annis Joseph Ducote, Sr., age 87 of Marrero, born in Cottonport, LA passed away on December 29, 2017 at his home at the age of 87. He was Master Sergeant in the United States Army in the Korean War. He loved playing his guitar and signing Hank Williams songs, Falstaff Beer, hunting and fishing. He is preceded by his parents, Otride and Annabelle Bordelon Ducote of Cottonport, Louisiana; brothers, Alva, Pete and Mason Ducote; sisters, Ena Jeansonne, Francis Dauzat, Maizie Ponthier and Addie Bordelon. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Deloches Dubroc Ducote; his children, Sharlene Ducote and Coco of Marrero, Bonnie Ducote Bergeron of Evergreen, Louisiana and Harley “Doodie” Ducote and wife Norma of Marrero, LA; grandson, Cory Guillot and wife Desiree and three great grandchildren, Hannah, Abbie and Lily of Bordelonville, LA and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend the Graveside Services at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Avenue, Gretna, LA on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 11AM.
