Annie B Dominique Guidry, born July 13, 1927 and cherished wife of 71 years of Edmond “Bud” Guidry, both Westwego natives, passed away after a brief illness on April 15, 2018. While waiting on the “Home Front” for her sweetheart in the U.S. Navy, she reveled in her job at Bell Telephone. Later, she was assistant manager at Morgan and Lindsey/G.C. Murphy. She was offered a manager’s position, but chose auctions and antique shopping with her husband, Bud.
Loving mother of Sandra Wallins (Joel), and Cynthia Dike (John). Doting grandmother of Adam Dike (Karen) and Andrew Dike (Emily). Great-grandmother of Evet and Kaitlyn Dike, she is irreplaceable.
Annie B loved cooking, baking and candy making and feeding as many family and friends as possible. A full table was never too full. A lifelong member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor (Westwego) and member of the Fatima Rosary Group, her gentle way of teaching love through example touched us all.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Notre Dame Hospice for their care and compassion during this difficult time.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Westwego on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, from 10 AM to 12 Noon. A Funeral Mass will follow. Interment Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum.
