Alvin H. Dugas, Sr. passed away peacefully on April 1, 2021 at the age of 78 years. Beloved husband of the late Sharon Pepitone Dugas. Mother of Alvin H. Dugas, Jr. (Tracy), Sherri D. Scheid (Michael) and the late Derek A. Dugas (Jamie). Grandfather of Lauren Williamson (Aaron) and Kristen Killgore. Great-grandfather of Grayson “Rusty” Williamson. Brother of Clovis Dugas, Jr. (Edna), Gerald Dugas (Wilda), Sylvia Breaux (Stephen, Jr.), Gaynel Kliebert (Lester, Jr.) and the late Rodney Dugas (Judy). Son of the late Clovis Dugas, Sr. and Olga Hepting Dugas. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Al served his country in the U.S. Air Force, attaining the rank of Airman Second Class (A2c). He later retired as a lead machinist from Chevron Chemical Company/Oak Point Plant. While at Chevron, he also served as shop steward for their local union. Al was a proud member of the American Legion and was an avid L.S.U. and Saints football fan.
Visitation will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 11:30am to 1:30pm. Services will follow.
