Allen John Coulonge Sr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Allen John Coulonge, Sr., age 78, passed away peacefully at his residence on June 12, 2022. Loving husband of the late Helen Glynn Coulonge and father of Tina Cuevas (Dennis), and Allen Coulonge, Jr. (Moria). He was a native of New Orleans, LA and was born on July 30, 1943 to the late Alexander Coulonge and the late Doris Russ Coulonge. Brother of the late Alexander Coulonge (Marilyn) and Ronald Coulonge, Sr. (Rhonda). He is also survived by five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, five nieces and seven nephews. Allen was a graduate of Loyola University. He spent much of his career as an outside sales representative for PAC Stainless. He was a small business owner for ten years. He and his wife were active members of the Terrytown Lions Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and cooking huge pots of jambalaya for events. He will be dearly missed by many. Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 1PM at Mothe Funeral Home, 1300 Vallette St., in Algiers. Visitation will begin at 11AM. Interment will follow immediately at Cypress Grove Cemetery in New Orleans. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Lions Club in his name.
