Albert Louis Deidrich Jr.

Albert Louis Deidrich, Jr., passed away peacefully on Monday, August 3, 2020 at the age of 81. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gail O’Rourke Deidrich; his son, Albert Louis Deidrich, III; and his parents, Albert Louis Deidrich, Sr. and Leotha Jobe Deidrich. He is the loving father of Darlyne Uzee (Kevin), Kim Dodgen (John), and Darrin Deidrich (Tina). He is the devoted grandfather of 12 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his life-long friend, Peggy Couvillion; several nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Albert was a retired supervisor with Avondale Shipyard. He was a founding member of Ulysses Carnival Club and supervisor of Mel Ott playground for over 40 years. He was a board member of the Lions Club in Gretna. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Graveside Service on Monday, August 10, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
