Alan Blanchard

Alan Blanchard, age 68 of Marrero, passed away at his home on Saturday, February 12, 2022. He was born January 29, 1954 in New Orleans; he was a lifelong resident of the Westank. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Joanne Constant Blanchard and their daughter, Danielle Marie Blanchard. Alan is preceded in death by his parents, Anna Mae Ledet Blanchard and Adolph Paul Blanchard, Sr. Brother of Adolph Paul Blanchard, Jr. (Eileen) and Nora Blanchard Schexnaydre (Albert). Alan is also survived by a niece, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was very proud to be an Eagle Scout. He was an NRA Golden Eagle Member. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad for over 40 years and retired in 2014. After retirement, he and his wife enjoyed visiting the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, Louisiana on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 10AM until 1:30PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 1:30PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Family and friends may offer condolences at mothefunerals.com.
