Al Wakefield

Al Wakefield, an avid LSU fan peacefully entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Patricia “Pat” Jordan Wakefield for 46 years. Son of the late Albert Thomas Wakefield, Jr. and Dorothy Dick Wakefield. Loving father of Ashley Wakefield Hardee (Matt) and Judiann Wakefield (Andy Dupre). Loving Grandfather of Madison Hardee, Shane Hardee and Taylor Hardee. Brother of Fay Dibai (Mano). Al is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and was a resident of Terrytown, Louisiana. He was a Teacher at Fisher High School for 44 years and a Coach of Track and Cross Country in which he was inducted into the Louisiana Coaches Hall of Fame. Al was one of the founding members of the Aardvarks Social Club. Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 6PM until 10PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 9:30AM until 1PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 1PM.
