Daniel "Danny" Donovan, Sr.

Daniel “Danny” Donovan, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at his residence with his loving son by his side. Danny was born in New Orleans and was a long time resident of Gretna, LA. Beloved husband of the late Beryl “Sue” Babin Donovan. He leaves behind his son, Daniel “Bronoco” Donovan, Jr. Danny has 1 granddaughter, Tiffany Wigstrom (Husband Tobin). Also survived by 4 great grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Kyleigh, Kaylee, Karley and Christopher Cupp, Jr. Brother-in-law of Gwen and Willie Kerner. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dave Donovan and Frances Moran. He also leaves nieces and nephews. He worked his entire adult life first at Algiers Iron Works then later retired what became Bollinger Ship Repair Dock. He was a devoted Saints Fan, regardless if they won or lost. The family would like to extend a sincere appreciation to the Doctors and Staff of Serenity Hospice for their care given to Danny. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, November 16, 2015 from 9AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
