COVID 19 - Coronavirus Update
In these unprecedented times, the family and staff of Mothe Funeral Homes continues to be committed to the health and well-being of our community. Our concerns for the families that we serve are always their mental health and well-being, along with their physical health.
It is now more important than ever, as the situation with the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to develop and affect our community, that Mothe Funeral Homes continues to serve families to the best of our ability.
Governor John Bel Edwards issued new restrictions on gatherings that went into effect on Monday, March 23, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. CST. Mothe Funeral Homes is required to report to all families we serve the limits on gatherings to no more than 10 persons. Funeral Homes are required to follow this mandate in keeping with the public safety. We are asking each family we meet with to help us in keeping with this new mandate until April 13, 2020, or until further notifications from the State of Louisiana.
Furthermore, we ask that each family that has experienced a COVID 19 death, to consider a Graveside Service or our other options that would limit/reduce exposure for their family and our staff. This pandemic is causing local officials and the health care community to rapidly make changes in order to protect the public’s health and safety. We continue to be a leader in Death Care and offer the best guidance we can to help our grieving families once a death occurs.
Please understand this is a difficult time for everyone in the Death Care industry, and we will continue to comfort and offer guidance to each and every family we serve. We are always a place for our community to gather and to offer condolences and to share memories. During these trying times, please continue to reach out to your friends and family members via phone calls, text messages, FaceTime, or any other social medias to extend your love, support, and condolences. Families need their community to support them now more than ever. You can make a difference.
The Mothe Family would like to thank everyone in the Westbank community and surrounding areas for the trust they have placed in us and our business for the last 125 years. We pray these changes will only be for a short period of time as we anticipate a better level of understanding to come.
