William B. "Bill" Carragan Jr.

William B. "Bill" Carragan, Jr. passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at the age of 68. Beloved husband of Sharon Wilson Carragan for 25 years. Father of William B. Carragan III (Sandy) and Kimberly Shedler (William). Step-father of Christopher Wainwright (Tatiana). Son of the late Claire and William Carragan Sr. Brother of Judy Palisi (Peter). Grandfather of William B. Carragan IV, Carissa Carragan, and Karma Wainwright. Also survived by nieces and nephews. He was loved and respected by everyone he encountered. He was a great husband, grandfather, brother, friend and mentor. He was an Army Vietnam Veteran who served in theater. He retired from LP&L/Entergy after 43 years of service. He waged a courageous 5 year battle against cancer. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Joachim Catholic Church, 5505 Barataria Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 11am. Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 4pm until 7pm. and again on Monday morning at the church from 9am until 11am. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
