Wayne Jude Bourgeois Sr.

Wayne Jude Bourgeois, Sr. passed away peacefully at his home after a long battle with cancer on September 20, 2017. His final days were spent surrounded by his family and friends that he touched in some way throughout his life. Beloved husband of 47 years to Geraldine "Jay" Duffourc Bourgeois. Son of the late Rose Mae Toups Bourgeois and Ives "Pete" Bourgeois, Sr. Father of Rosalind Dufrene (Todd), Robin Williams (Shawn), and Wayne Bourgeois, Jr. (fiance Nichole). Grandfather of Courtney, Joshua, Megan, Tyler, Dylan, Bailee, and Blaise. Brother of Barbara, Kirk, Regina, and the late Carol Ann, Ives Jr. "Butch," Patricia, and Susan. Age 66 years, a native of Westwego, and resident of Bridge City, LA. Wayne loved to be around family and friends just to make them laugh. He loved hunting, fishing, cooking, and company. He was an excellent welder.
Relatives and Friends of the Family, also the Staff of Heart of Hospice, are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, September 25, 2017 at 11 AM. Visitation will be held in the parlor on Sunday evening from 6 PM until 10 PM and on Monday from 9 AM until 11 AM. Interment will be private. The family requests in lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations in his name to the American Cancer Society.
