Virginia "Vicky" Osorio Roane

Virginia “Vicky” Osorio Roane passed away on September 26, 2014 at the age of 71 years. Beloved wife of the late Arthur C. Roane Jr. Mother of David C. Roane (Stacie), Arthur C. Roane III and April R. Echevarria (Alex). Grandmother of Sydnie, Andre and Austen. Daughter of the late Herlinda Ronces Osorio and David Osorio. Step-daughter of Lucha Osorio. Sister of David, Arturo, Olga, Linda, Oscar, Michael, Victor, Rafael and the late Guille. Also survived by her loving companion, Beto Olguin along with many other loving family members and friends.
Vicky attended college in Mexico and earned her teaching certificate. She taught elementary school in Mexico before moving to the United States. She was a longtime employee at the original Dos Gringos Restaurant and later at Joe’s Café on Lapalco Blvd. Vicky was an avid Saints football fan and touched the hearts of everyone she met. She will be sadly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 600 Sixth Street in Gretna on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will take place at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Monday from 6 PM to 8 PM, resuming on Tuesday from 8 AM to 9 AM.
