Valerie Camilia Zeringue

Valerie Camilia Zeringue passed away peacefully on July 30, 2017 at the age of 52 years. Survivors include her beloved husband in heart, Daniel J. Dauterive Jr.; children, Stephanie Lynn Barrilleaux (Brad), Christopher John Barrilleaux (Maeˊgan) and Lauren Zeringue Wooten (Patrick); parents, Philip John Zeringue and Brenda Dauphin Zeringue; in-laws, Daniel J. Dauterive Sr. and Linda Chivoletto Dauterive; brother, Philip Joseph Zeringue; sisters, Cherie Zeringue Orillion (Ricky) and Deann Marie Zeringue; grandchildren, Love, Faith, Forever and Destiny Sanders, Gracie and Patrick Wooten, Rylie and Rowyn Barrilleaux; nieces and nephews, Sarah, Justin, Madison, Christina and Jacob. She is preceded in death and joins in Heaven, her dear granddaughter, Harmony Sanders. Also survived by her devoted canine companions: Dixie, Zydeco and Jazzy along with other loving relatives and friends.
Valerie was born in New Orleans, LA, was raised in Gretna and resided in Terrytown, LA. She worked as a Business Care Manager for AT&T for 17 years. She served her community as a volunteer with the Terrytown Volunteer Fire Department for 10 years and as President for 4 years. During her years, she touched the hearts and lives of so many. While she will be sadly missed, her life and her legacy will be celebrated.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of West Jefferson Cancer Center and Fresenius Dialysis for their care and compassion. A special thanks is also given to Linda Dauterive for being by her side every day. Your love and devotion will never be forgotten.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass to be Celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church, 535 Deerfield Avenue in Terrytown on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 1 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Church from 11 AM to 1 PM.
