Una Mae Matherne Comardelle passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late James Rod Comardelle. Mother of Kathryn Bushard (the late Jimmy) (Dennis) and Paula Penouilh (companion, Jerry Rogers) and the late Rodney Comardelle. Daughter of the late Melena and Samson Matherne, Sr. Sister of Edith Comardelle and the late Leo and Samson Matherne, Jr. Grandmother of Charlette Surcouf, Tammy Long Rogne (Kare). Great grandmother of Mecia and Whitney Long. Great great grandmother of Landen Long, Brooklyn and Dallas Lunsford. Also survived by nieces and nephews. She was a parishioner of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church and a lifelong resident of Avondale, LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 1:30pm. Interment, Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum, Westwego, LA. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday morning from 11am until 1:30pm.
