Tracy Vallette Lilly Jr

Tracy Vallette Lilly, Jr. passed away Monday, July 24, 2017, aged 59 years. Beloved father of Elizabeth Lilly, Ellen Lilly, and Linda Lilly. Former husband of Brenda LeBlanc. Son of the late Tracy V. Lilly, Sr. and the late Inez Dratchenberg Lilly. Brother of Eleanor L. Bouy. Uncle of John and Brooks Bouy. Nephew of James and JoAnn Beam. Tracy was a lifelong resident of Algiers, LA. He attended Alice M. Harte Elementary and O. Perry Walker High School. Friendly by nature, he met and kept in touch with many people during his lifetime. His cherished friends occupied a special place in his heart.
Tracy was born in Port Sulphur, LA, and spent many of his earliest years learning to fish, camp, and hunt with the guidance of his father and uncles. He retained his passion for fishing in the marshes of Louisiana all his life. As a young man, Tracy’s adventurous spirit brought him to the Appalachian Mountains, the forests of Oregon, and the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, where he hiked the John Muir Trail. He studied mechanics and welding, working on tugboats on the Mississippi River and oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, before pursuing a career as a plumber. Tracy’s great loves were his family, his dogs and cats, and the outdoors.
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 1:30 PM.
