Terry J. Louviere Sr.

Terry J. Louviere Sr., passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Providence Hospital in Mobile, Alabama on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the age of 69 following a courageous battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Mae Louviere; his brother, Kevin Louviere; his three half bothers, Irvin Louviere Jr., David Louviere and Marvin Louviere; his father-in-law, Elston L. “Tommy” Thomas and brother-in-law, Kenneth “Zeke” Thomas. He is the beloved husband of 48 years of Anita Thomas Louviere. He is the loving father of Stacey Louviere Landry (Ryan), Terry Louviere Jr. and Jared Louviere (Jessica). He is the devoted grandfather of Tyler Louviere, Lexi Landry, Madison Landry, Olivia Louviere, Ava Louviere and Tenley Louviere. He is the loving brother of Gayle Means (Bobby), Karen Holder (John), Larry “Mouse” Louviere (Jeannie) and Bryan Louviere. He is the loving son-in-law of Doris Thomas. He is the loving brother-in-law of Judy Mandina (Kent) He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Born on July 31, 1948, Terry was a resident of Buras, Louisiana until 2006 when he moved to Hurley, Mississippi. He valliently served his country in the US Army. He was the proud owner of T & A Wireline Service, Inc. where he worked countless hours in the oilfield until his retirement. He loved people and never met a stranger. An avid outdoorsman, Terry enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports, cooking, his beloved horses and the Dallas Cowboys. However, his # 1 love and passion was reserved for his family, his kids and most of all, his grandkids. Proudly serving as pallbearers will be Terry Louviere Jr., Jared Louviere, Tyler Louviere, Ryan Landry, Robbie Means and John Holder Jr. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Larry Louviere, Bryan Louviere, Bryan Louviere Jr., Eric Holder, Richie Means and Kevin Louviere Jr. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Thursday, January 25, 2018 beginning at 9:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00 Noon at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 28683 Highway 23, Port Sulphur, LA.
