Scott Anthony Michel of Crown Point, LA, passed away on August 22, 2017 at Ochsner Foundation Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 54 years of age. He is survived by the loves of his life: wife, Paige; daughter, Lexie; son, Scotty and two canine companions, Chi Chi and Coco. Survivors also include his sister, Debbie LaFrance; brothers, Daniel and Phillip Michel along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Carolyn Smith Michel and Frank Michel Jr. and brother, Frankie.
Scott was a truck driver for Acme Truck Lines and especially enjoyed pulling floats during Mardi Gras season. He loved being surrounded by his family and friends at seafood boils, Saints football games, fishing, camping or any other reason he could find.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Satti, nurse Michelle and the staff of Ochsner Cancer Center for their compassionate care.
Relatives, friends and employees of Acme Truck Lines, E.J. Orgeron’s and staff and student at Fisher High School are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 11 AM. Interment Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Westwego.
Visitation will take place at the Funeral Home on Friday from 6 PM to 9 PM, resuming on Saturday from 10 AM to 11 AM.
