Russell "Russ" Luke Rudolph

Russell “Russ” Luke Rudolph was called home to our Lord on March 3, 2018. Born August 1, 1942 to Luke and Alice Rudolph, Russell to all who knew him was a generous, loving, and caring man who touched the lives of many through his 20 years as a teacher, coach and mentor. Russell married his lifetime sweetheart, Dorothy Herrmann on July 13th, 1968. Russell and Dotty had three children, Danielle, Sarah, and Chad. Their children blessed them with 4 grandchildren, Blaise, Kloe’, Myah and Charlotte. They also welcomed Rick Burleigh, and Kristin Greer-Rudolph into the family with open and loving arms. Russell was a History and Math teacher for 20 years and retired in 1986 from Marrero Middle School. He coached a variety of sports and mentored all he came in contact with. He was a faithful Tulane fan, football and baseball being his favorite sports to watch or listen to on the radio! You could always hear him shouting ROLL WAVE after a touchdown! He was a man of character and strong faith. He had a strong love for his family and will be missed by them and many more. The family would like to thank Serenity Hospice Services for all their loving care during this difficult time. Russell’s life celebration will be at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Saturday March 10, 2018 . Visitation is from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 1pm. Please join the family in celebrating Russel’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be sent to Immaculate Conception Church, the Parkinson’s Foundation in Russell’s name, or Tulane Football tickets!!!
