Robert Lee "Bob" Sawyer

Robert Lee "Bob" Sawyer went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the age of 87. He spent his last days surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Mary Ann Manzella Sawyer for 59 years. Beloved father of JoAnn Monier (Tommy), Sandy Perrin ( Wade), and Robin Deeters (Ronnie). Son of the late Laura Martinez Sawyer and Raymond Sawyer. Brother of the late Raymond Sawyer, Jr., and Edith Sawyer Guillot. Grandfather of Tommy Monier, Jr. (Heather), Angela Monier Landry (Matt), Ryan Monier (Katherine), Matthew Perrin (Sarah), Nathan Perrin, Ashlee Deeters Breaux (Randall), and Brandi Deeters Burke (Tyler). Great grandfather of Thomas Monier, III, Luke and Cade Monier, Brayden , Braxton, and Bryson Landry, Ryan Monier, II, Caroline, Jude, and Emma Kate Monier, McKenzie and Chloe Breaux, Tanner Burke and baby Owen Perrin coming in July. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was an avid Tulane and Saints fan. He loved sports and was an awesome softball player. He never met a stranger and was always the life of the party. He was a lifelong resident of Gretna and Harvey. Relatives and friends of the family, also, residents and staff of Riverbend Nursing Home are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 1pm. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday morning from 10am until 1pm.
