Nelson J. Bourgeois

Nelson J. Bourgeois went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 11, 2018 at the age of 60 years. He is the loving son of Noah Bourgeois Jr., and the late Lois Richoux Bourgeois. Grandson of the late Noah and Gertrude Bourgeois Sr., the late John and Celina Richoux. Loving brother of Darline Scheuermann (Ron Jr.). Uncle of Ronald Scheuermann III (Maya) and great-uncle to Noah. Loving daddy of Christina Crane (Clint), Daniel Bourgeois (Melanie), Wendy Dollette (Ruben) and Tommy Mitchell. Loving grandpa of Tyler, Selena, Malorie, Christopher, Thomas Jr. and Karlie. He is also survived by his loving and caring fiancé, Therese Parker and her children, Destine and Collin, along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Nelson worked for many years as a welder and a self-employed businessman. He had a passion for Mardi Gras and loved to ride his float with family and friends. He will be sadly missed. The family is requesting that everyone wear their favorite Mardi Gras colors to honor Nelson.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 9 AM to 1 PM. Services will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment Restlawn Park Cemetery in Avondale.
