Mavis "Butch" Frank Matis passed away on November 13, 2017. Beloved fiance' of Nancy Ponder. Father of Terrie Matis Bourgeois (Glen), Frank Matis (Carol), and Laura Matis France (Mitch). Grandfather of Glen Bourgeois, Jr. (Jennifer), Casey Bourgeois, Jake Matis, Kelly M. Harmon (Hays), Frankie Matis, Jr., Marissa Landry, Dylan Landry, Morgan Landry, Emma France, Mitchell France, Jr. and the late Kimberly Bourgeois. Great-grandfather of Bryson, Holden, Laila, Brenton, Kaylee, Trey, Jayden, and Owen. Son of the late Frank Matis and Louise Loupe Matis Friloux (late Donald). Brother of Marie Matis Champagne (Horace) and the late Wayne Matis. Step-brother of Pam Zeringue (late Gary), Donnie and Paulette Friloux. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Lovingly missed by his beloved dog Bitty. Age 73 years and lifelong resident of Mozella, LA.
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 11 AM.
