Mary Ruth Alonzo Fury

Mary Ruth Alonzo Fury, age 73 passed away on Thursday August 3, 2017 with her husband by her side at their home in Marrero. Daughter of the late Joseph Michel Alonzo and late Mary Gertie Bourgeois Alonzo Young. She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Charles Spence Fury, her loving daughter Shari M. Fury of Marrero and her loving son Darryl J. Fury and daughter-in-law Elizabeth A. Fury of Laplace. She also leaves behind her loving pet Dawg, her niece (adopted daughter and caretaker) Lorrie Loup; devoted neice Tina Young; and best friend Ava T. Maples. She is also survived by brothers Ron Alonzo of Thornton, CO: Jesse M. Young, Sr. of Pine, LA, and William Young of Westwego, LA; sister-in-law Bonnie Stewart of Biloxi, MS; brother-in-law Nick Fury and sister-in-law Lynn Fury of Metairie, LA. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by sisters Jenny Young, Jessie Fury, Barbara Young and Deborah Young; and brothers Dennis Young, Thomas Young, and Jimmy Young. A Memorial Mass will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Laplaco Blvd. in Marrero on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 2pm. A Memorial Visitation will be held Thursday from 12noon until 2pm.
