Mae Matherne Petit

Mae Matherne Petit passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the age of 82. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Mavor John Petit; her grandson, Phil Mavor Guillot; her parents, Harris and Leontine Matherne; her sisters, Mary Ann Boudreaux and Lois Matherne. She is the loving mother of Sonia Petit Guillot. She is the devoted grandmother of Nicholas John Guillot (Marilyn). She is the loving great grandmother of Kylah, Kamryn, Brynn and Nicholas John Jr.; and she is the loving grandmother-in-law of Carrie Guillot and the loving step- great grandmother of Sebastian. She is the loving sister of Harris J. Matherne Jr. (Sharon) and Larry M. Matherne (Jeannie). She is also survived by her cousin who was raised with her like a sister, Betty Orgeron (Teddy); numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Following Mae’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA in charge of arrangements.
