Lillian "Lee" Marie Haas

May 2, 1940 — September 17, 2017

Lillian “Lee” Marie Haas passed away peacefully on September 17th at the age of 77. She was the daughter of the late William W. and Lillian Chaisson Haas. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Wendle and William Haas II and foster sister, Thelma Gaspard. She is survived by her daughters, Michelle and Melanie Duffourc; grandchildren, Christopher Ardell, Evan Ortiz, Sarah Ardell, Haley Ortiz and Breanna Grace Ortiz, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Lee will always be remembered as one of the founders of the Krewe of Nefertari, the ladies Mardi Gras organization which brought joy to thousands on the Westbank for over 20 years.
Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath had a profound effect on Lee. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made for the relief of the victims of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, September 23, 2017 11AM until 1PM. Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 1PM. Interment will be at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery, Westwego, LA.
