Leonard Roland Smolder

Leonard Roland Smolder, age 69 entered his Heavenly Kingdom on October 14, 2014. He was the loving husband of Jacklyn Nicholas Smolder. Stepfather of Timothy, Peter and Jenny Thibodaux. Step Grandfather of Christopher Thibodaux. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Mary Irene Smolder and Estil Leonard Smolder. He is survived by his brother, Donald Lee Smolder, Sr. (Wife Diane); his sisters, Sharon Martina (Husband John) and Karen Williams, all of Jacksonville, FL. He was a 4-year veteran on the United States Navy. He worked at Union Carbide (Dow Chemical) until his retirement. Family, friends and employees of Union Carbide are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Sunday, October 19, 2014 from 6PM until 10PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Monday, October 20, 2014 from 9AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11AM. Interment will be in Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, LA.
