Karen Callahan

Karen "Nerky" Callahan passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the age of 53 years. Beloved wife of Patrick Callahan, Sr. Loving mother of Kimberly Ockman and Patrick Callahan, II. Daughter of Barbara Rood and John Cavalier. Step daughter of Charles Rood. Sister of Michael Cavalier, Keith Cavalier and Paula Rood. Sister in law of Barbara Authement, Joyce Franks, Martha Heirsch, Rose Smith, Debra Simpson, Phyllis Oser, Theresa Porche, Tommy Callahan, Sr and the late Richard Callahan Jr, David Callahan, Sr and Timmy Callahan. Proud Grandmother of her girls, Raine Marie Ockman and Chloe Grace Callahan. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends at the Azalea Bingo Hall. A lifelong resident of Algiers, LA. Relative and Friends of the family, also patrons of Azalea Bingo Hall are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Mothe Funeral Home, 1300 Vallette St. Algiers, LA on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 1pm. Visitation will be held from 9am until 1pm. Interment will be privately held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family to cover funeral expenses is preferred.
