Joseph B. Cardinal

Joseph B. Cardinal passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 71. Joe was a lifelong resident of Harvey, LA. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Brenda Marcombe Cardinal, 2 sons, Ryan (Jennifer), and Sean (Amie), and 4 grandchildren, Camille, Caroline, Ethan and Leah. He is also survived by 7 siblings, numerous nieces and nephews, a large family, and an abundance of friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Soule Cardinal and Ella Marie Bergeron, and 4 siblings. Joe retired from West Jefferson High School. In recent years, he became a fixture at West Jefferson Fitness Center, where he socialized with old friends and made many new ones as well. Joe was one-of-a-kind. There is no one else like him. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 1pm. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday morning from 9am until 1pm.
