John Arthur Dugas, Sr.

John Arthur Dugas, Sr., owner of J&K Bar, “Naturally Algiers” entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 14, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Deborah Nott Dugas. Son of the late William Dugas, Sr. and Ruth Gros Dugas Alimia. Loving and devoted father of John Dugas, Jr. (Wife Rachel) and Neil Dugas (Wife Krystal). Loving “Poppie” to Ethan Dugas, Ellie Dugas, Phoebe Dugas, Chloe Dugas and Trent Grabert. Brother of William Dugas, Angelo Alimia, Peter Alimia, Kevin Alimia, Karen Savoie and Deborah Dulcich. Special companion of Nan Menard. John is retired from the New Orleans Fire Department after 33 years of service. He served in the Vietnam War while enlisted in the United States Army. John was the most loving and giving person anyone could have known. He never met a stranger. He will be sorely missed by all the lives he touched. Relatives and friends, also members of the New Orleans Fire Department and family and friends of J&K Bar are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, October 20, 2014 from 11AM until 3PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 3PM. Interment will be private.
