JoEllen R. Dewey passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the age of 56. Loving daughter of the late Joe and Joy Dewey. Sister of Joseph T. Dewey. Godmother of Sachea Coombs and Miki Hackler. Great godmother of Leira and Sylas. Niece of Phillip and Alida Bourgeois. Lifelong best friend of Vincent Nowell. Also survived by many relatives and friends. She was a retired teacher from Ames Elementary School, Marrero, LA. She had a huge heart and was always there for her friends and loved ones. She was a lifelong resident of Belle Chasse, LA.
