Jerry O. Hess

Jerry O. Hess went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Gladys Hess for 57 years. Father of Polly Ballew (Greg), and Sherry Hess Adams (Bert). Son of the late Willie and Dora Hess. Brother of Willie Hess, Jr. Johnny Hess, Dora Roeder, Gene Roy Hess, and the late Henry Hess, Robert Hess, Sr., Julia Pitre and Huey Hess. Grandfather of Jodi Gober (Kris), Justin Ballew, Bert Adams III, Jeremy Adams, and Jordan Ballew. Great grandfather of Braden and Tristan Gober. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Jerry retired from Chevron USA after 33 years of service. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed hunting, fishing and football. He was a native of Venice, LA and a resident of McComb, MS for the past 19 years. Relatives and friends of the family, also N.H.B.C. are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 1:30pm. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday morning from 10am until 1:30pm. The family wishes to thank the Doctors and Staff of S.W. Mississippi Regional Medical Center for their care. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital, Wounded Warriors, or the church of your choice to further the word of Jesus.
