Janice Dufour Guidry, age 77, a lifelong resident of the Westbank went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s. She spent her last days surrounded by family and friends at her home. She considered her most important job as being a wife to her husband, a mother to her three daughters, grandmother to her 4 grandchildren and sister to her only brother. Over the years she enjoyed gardening and cooking. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Alex E. “Dickie” Guidry, Jr.; her three daughters, Bambi Guidry Foose (Jim), Shelli Guidry Zahorchak (Dennis) and Alexis Guidry Leslie (Robert); her four grandchildren, Alex J. Zahorchak (Andrea), Logan Leslie, Laine Leslie and Liam Leslie; and her brother, Wayne Dufour (Barbara). She is the sister-in-law to Michael J. Guidry (Kathy). Janice is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Janice is preceded in death by her parents, Odell Dufour and Dorothy Gervais Dufour.
