Jane Fos Uzee

Jane Fos Uzee passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 4:05PM at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Hubert F. “Bunny” Uzee. Preceded in death by her parents, John Bertrand Fos and Josephine DeGeorge Fos and her siblings, Madeline Oramous (Earl), Violet Graf (Charles), Norma Guthrie (Albert), John Fos (Edna), Raymond Fos (Mary), Robert Fos (Viola) and Henry Fos. She is survived by her only sibling, Daizel Guliuzo (Raymond). Jane is also survived by her two daughters, Deborah Uzee Cochennic and Cynthia Uzee Lyons; her 3 grandchildren, Landon Lyons (Julie), Heather Cochennic and Laura Lyons. She has 5 great grandchildren, Alexia, Savannah, Brian, Landon and Mikaela. She is also survived by her nieces, Violet Graf and Carolyn Leiding Melling and numerous other nieces and nephews. Jane was one of the kindest, caring and selfless mothers anyone could have and will be missed dearly. She is a Parishioner of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Gretna, LA. The family would like to extend a sincere appreciation to St. Catherine’s Hospice for their excellent care. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 11AM until 1:30PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 1:30PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
