Isabel "Riggie" Gedoria Welch

Isabel “Riggie” Gedoria Welch, age 88 entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 17, 2014. Beloved wife of the late William Charles Welch. Daughter of the late Inocincio Gedoria and Camille Navarro Gedoria. Mother of Mario Gedoria Welch and Marc A. Gedoria Welch (Sherian). Sister of the late Cecilia Gedoria Nadeau. Grandmother of Bradley Welch, Michelle Oglesby (Bobby), Joshua Welch (Melissa), Kelly Ann Williams (Dwayne), Marc Welch, Jr. (Annie) and Michael Welch (Candie). Isabel is also survived by 10 great grandchildren. She was born in New Orleans, LA and was a resident of Algiers. She was a school teacher with the New Orleans School Board for over 30 years until her retirement. After her retirement, she volunteered with the New Orleans School Board, New Orleans Archdiocesan and the Algiers Regional Library as “Mother Goose”. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Iota, Delta Kappa Gamma, N.O.R.T.A. and L.T.A. A visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Friday, November 21, 2014 from 8:30AM until 11AM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
