Huey Pierce “Manny” Rome, age 76 entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Yvonne Swain Rome. Loving father of Phyllis Gutierrez (Rogelio), Doris Watts (Johnny), Gloria Wallace (Junior) and Christopher Rome, Sr. (Tracey). Beloved grandfather of Matthew Gutierrez, Veronica Gutierrez, Rebecca VanNess, Elizabeth Levron, Sara Watts, Ambra Rivet, John Wallace III, Starlene Hester and Christopher Rome, Jr. Huey is also survived by 13 great grandchildren. He is the brother of Eva Boudreaux, Bertha Clavia and the late Adam Rome, Jr., Floyd Rome, Sr., Roy Rome, Lois Chappel and Barbara Mitchel. Son of the late Adam Rome, Sr. and Odette Estez Rome. He was born in Des Allemands, LA and was a resident of Marrero, LA. A Visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, January 26, 2015 from 9AM until 1PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 1PM. Interment will be private.
