Harold (H.P.) Hymel

Harold “H.P.” Hymel passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Lois Poirier Hymel. Father of Nadine H. Dickey (Chuck), Darryl P. Hymel (Donna), Sybil H. Dambach (Robby), David M Hymel (Cheryl), and Brent P. Hymel (Linda). Son of the late Clelie Oubre Hymel and Willie J. Hymel. Brother of Lurleen H. Pitre and the late Roy, Lester, Karl and Maud Hymel, Beulah H. Clement and Grace H. Durocher. Survived by 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was a native of Vacherie, LA and a resident of Westwego, LA. H.P. was a lifetime honorary member of Knights of Columbus Council #3091, a member of Jefferson Parish Golden Agers-Nicholson Club, and a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He retired after 38 years of service from Beacon Supply Co. Inc.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA on Monday, November 3, 2014 from 10:00 am until 12:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will follow at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, 531 Avenue A., Westwego, LA 70094. Interment in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery, Westwego, LA.
