It is with great sadness that the family of Guy Ralph Patrick McDonald announces his passing due to Congestive Heart Failure, on Friday, March 2, 2018, at the age of 85 years. Guy’s chief passions in life included his years as a Sergeant in the Army overseas, fishing, gardening and conservation of our environment, singing beautifully in bands and in church, mastering many musical instruments, writing articles in newspapers and magazines and his many historical and fiction books.
Guy was predeceased by his beloved wife, Beverly Ann Legendre McDonald, his father, Dennis Andrew McDonald, Sr, his mother, Marietta Julia Crowley McDonald, his brothers, Dennis, Jr., and Billy McDonald, his sisters and their spouses, Ruth Marcello (Pas) and June Romano (Brother).
Guy is survived by his sister, Patricia DiPascal (Joe), sisters-in law Joyce McDonald and Bonnie McDonald, sisters, Debbie Robert and Kathie Martin (Billy), and brother, Michael McDonald (Gail).
Guy will be lovingly remembered by his family, Shay McDonald LeBlanc, (Stephen), grandchildren and their family: Adam (Terry) Justin Clements and Adam LeBlanc, Jr.; Marc (Angela) Alexandra, Olivia, and Jacob LeBlanc; Jessica Beckham (Launey), Hunter and Emily Beckham.
Jamie McDonald Marshall (Charlie) grandchildren and their family: Scott Craft (Lisa) Brandon; Stacy and Marllie Harrison; Brandi Graham (Joey), Hannah Craft and Connor Graham; Brittnie Hamel (Kyle) Breighton and Kambree Hamel.
Kellie McDonald Neil (John), grandchildren and their family: Dr. Amanda Hickman (John) John John, Abby, Ellie Hickman; Katie O’Brien (Tim).

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Rosalie Catholic Church, 601 2nd Avenue in Harvey, LA on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 8:30 AM to 10 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park, 1225 Whitney Avenue in Gretna, LA.
