Geraldine Petersen Arnold

Geraldine Petersen Arnold passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Bertinus Arnold. Mother of Darren Arnold (Heather) and the late Ashton Arnold. Daughter of the late Hilda Landry Petersen and Joseph Dominick Petersen. Sister of Linda Petersen. Age 77 years, a native of New Orleans, and resident of Terrytown, LA. Geri was a kind hearted compassionate person who would do anything for anyone. She enjoyed helping people and animals. As a young woman she served as a volunteer at Charity Hospital and Touro Hospital. She taught Pre-K and Kindergarten until she had to stop working to care for her husband who had myotonic muscular dystrophy. When time allowed, some of her hobbies were reading history, astronomy and she enjoyed dancing. Sh was interested in politics and she was a good cook. Everyone loved Geri.
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Memorial Service in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 1 PM. Visitation will be held from 12 Noon until funeral time. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to help the family defray funeral expenses.
