Fred A. Bonvillian, Sr.

Fred A. Bonvillian, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Lilithia Cabibie Bonvillian. Son of the late Linwood Bonvillian and Edwina Burmaster Bonvillian. Father of Bridget Chastant (Harold), Debra Johnson, Fred Bonvillian, Jr. (Davochia) and Kenneth Bonvillian. Survived by 12 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren, 3 Step Grandchildren and 3 Step Great Grandchildren. Brother of Evelyn West, Geraldine Ottinger, Linwood Bonvillian II and the late Gerald Bonvillian. Step Father of Yancy Cabibie and the late Frank Cabibie. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Fred was born in New Orleans, LA; resided in Belle Chasse and currently resided in Metairie until his death. He served in the United States Marine Corp. as Sergeant. He served in the Korean War; was a recipient of the Good Conduct Medal, the United Nations Ribbon and many more accommodations. A visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, September 6, 2014 from 9AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
