Florence "Flo" Herzog Bourgeois

Florence “Flo” Herzog Bourgeois entered into Eternal Life on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at the age of 88 years. Beloved wife of the late Henry J. “Tut” Bourgeois. Daughter of the late William Oscar Herzog and Florence Cooper Herzog. Loving mother of Linda Blackmon (the late Willie), Cheryl Abadie (Curtis) and Joan Bourque (Bobby) and Chief Arthur S. Lawson, whom she thought of as a son. Sister of Barbara Kass (the late Lawrence), the late William Herzog and Robert Herzog (the late Barbara Perret). Sister in law of the late Albert Bourgeois (Marion Crochet) and Robert Bourgeois. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Flo is a native of Harvey, LA and resided in Gretna, LA for the past 70 years. She worked for many years and retired from the Jefferson Parish Public Schools Food Service Program, serving the children of Gretna #2 School. While her passing is sorrowful, her life and legacy will be celebrated.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses of Egan Home Health Services, Dr. A. Shanableh, Dr. W. Bryan, Dr. D. Murthy, Kimberly Billiot and Canon Hospice for their compassion and care.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Graveside Services at Westlawn Memorial Park, 1225 Whitney Avenue in Gretna on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 10 AM, officiated by Pastor David McLean.
