Eva J. "Tetaunt" Doiron

Eva J. “Tetaunt” Doiron passed away peacefully on November 16, 2017 at the age of 98 years. Beloved mother of Audrey Zappulla. Mother-in-law of the late Richard Zappulla. Grandmother of Joseph G. Zappulla (Carol), Richard Zappulla Jr. and Rhonda Z. Chapman (the late Richard). Great-grandmother of Justin Zappulla (Megan) and the late Gregory Zappulla. Great-great-grandmother of Alaina and Aubrey Zappulla. Sister of the late Laura Percle, Maude Landry, Velma Parks, Percy, Luke and Kearney Doiron. Daughter of the late Augustine and Emma Boudreaux Doiron. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In her younger years, Tetaunt worked for local businesses and owned her own laundry service. She is best remembered as the cashier at West Jefferson Medical Center cafeteria. After her retirement, she volunteered at the Marrero/Harvey Senior Center and worked in their administrative office. She loved her family and was talented at crochet and in the kitchen. Her signature crawfish bisque would always bring the family together, often imitated, never duplicated. She also loved to share special time with friends and family playing Bourre. She touched the lives of so many. While her death is sorrowful, her life will be celebrated.
The family would like to thank the staff of Tranquil Living Center in Marrero and Heart of Hospice for their care and compassion during this difficult time.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 10:30 AM to 1 PM. A Funeral Mass will follow. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park.
