Emmett Charles Bealer Jr.

Emmett Charles Bealer Jr., entered into heaven on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the age of 79 surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his father, Emmett Charles Bealer Sr. “Skimmy”; his mother and step- father, Lillian and Max Panlasigui; his mother-in-law and father -in-law, Marie Eva Cotton and Alvin Joseph Cotton; and his brother-in-law, Ronnie Franks. He is the beloved husband of Marie Cotton Bealer. He is the loving father of Randall Bealer (Tiffany), Bryan Bealer (Shari), and Jeffrey Bealer (Kasey). He is the devoted grandfather of Chad Bealer, Cole Bealer, Jarrett Bealer, Woodrow Bealer, Ruby Bealer, Tristan Plaisance, Tucker “T-Tuck” Plaisance, Gaby Aucoin, and Katelyn Bruce. He is the loving brother of Kyron Bealer (Deborah), Darnell Franks, and Maxine Alagar (Manny). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Emmett was a volunteer fireman with the Terrytown VFD and a US Marine Veteran. An avid fisherman, he was a loving husband and very devoted father to his children and grandfather to his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A special thank you to Father Mike at Visitation of Our Lady Catholic Church; Dr. Waggenspack, the nurses, the aides at West Jefferson Medical Center and Dr. Malstrom, the entire caring and loving staff of Passages Hospice in New Orleans. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA. And immediately following, a Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 610 6th Street in Gretna, LA. Interment McDonough Cemetery in Gretna.
