Elta Lightell Barthelemy

Elta Barthelemy entered into Heaven on Tuesday September 5, 2017 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Wilson Barthelemy Sr. Mother of Wilson Barthelemy Jr., Leo Barthelemy Sr. (Joycelyn), Ricky Barthelemy Sr. (Uvette), Christine Brown, and the late Tyrus Bartholomew Sr. Daughter of the late Maximillian and Alice Lightell. She is proceeded in death by her five sisters. Grandmother of Yonett, Alicia, Donyell, LeoJr., Ricky III., Precious, Candie, Christina, Whitney, Troy, Tyrus Jr., Trevelle, and Terrah. Also survived by a host of great grandchildren, family, and friends. Elta was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Plaquemines Parish. She will be remembered as a bright and shining light to her family and closest friends. While her passing is sorrowful, her life and legacy will be celebrated.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend the visitation at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 9 AM to 11 AM. Services will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park, Gretna, LA.
